Organization: The summer school will be held at the University of Palermo, organized in 4 days of lessons of 7 hours each and a day of workshop where participants will share their experiences on ecohydrology. The summer school is dedicated to PhD students, post doc, researchers and professors interested in ecohydrology. The number of participants will be limited to 50: the selection will be made on the basis of the CV by the organizers.

Topics: Representation and sampling of space-time soil moisture. Stochastic soil moisture dynamics and vegetation response. Soil plant-atmosphere continuum. Hydrologic control on carbon and nitrogen cycles. Patterns of vegetation distribution. Ecohydrology of savannas. Landscape diversity induced by climate in Mediterranean Environment. Hydrologic drivers of biodiversity. Eco-hydrology of managed ecosystems.

Deadlines: filled application form together with a Curriculum Vitae shall be sent via e-mail to the address: ecohydrology@idra.unipa.it, no later than April 20, 2010. The accepted applications will be notified by April 25, 2010.

Fee payment documentation shall be sent via e-mail to the address: ecohydrology@idra.unipa.it, no later than May 15, 2010.

Costs: Registration fee: 350,00 € (EURO).
